First, I’m sooo happy to say that I am now a professional writer. I’m freelancing and my first article was approved to be published just today and I’ve already submitted another.

But, I also finished writing an article for Fuel Your Writing about twenty minutes ago and just have to once-over it before I submit. Friday is my day to post for If You Give a Girl a Pen and I’m already working on that. I have NO intention of quitting the writing I do for free just because I’m getting paid now.
And this article posted on Fuel tells you exactly why.

Not getting paid is the best way to end up with money.
I always wanted it to happen, but never thought it would. Always thought it was just a dream…. Well, I was wrong and I’m living proof that putting forth lots (and lots) of effort will get you where you want to go–or at least get you started on the path!

So go read Giselle’s article and donate your time and your knowledge. You’ll be happy you did!!!

and i’m quite happy.
the editor didn’t love it, but he *liked* it enough.
most importantly, he only corrected one small bit of writing!!!!
chapter one is far from being as it should be—i’ve even been working on a new opening, which i briefly spoke of on giveagirlapen.com last friday. i sent my work in knowing it wasn’t *ready* so i’m beyond chuffed (i love british speak!) that this flogging went as well as it did.

(again, sorry for my absence. i think i’m good now as far as getting settled and i’m back to writing, so i should be back to posting at least once a day—sometimes more! i’ve missed y’all!!)

I apologize—I’ve taken more than a day off.. Oops! But I did just move 500 miles away and I’ve been sick, so it’s sort of justified..

Anyway, last week (I think), I posted a quote and said I’d expand on how I felt about it. Here’s the update….
Sorry about the link. It’s pretty sad—I woke up this morning and realized it was suddenly Friday…my day to post for giveagirlapen.com. The week has flown by so I had to quickly come up with an idea and since this one was already brewing, I used it…
