so, I guess I’m starting yet another blog…
I use google for a lot of things, so I decided I’d try a blogspot.
We’ll see how it goes. I’m going to post something I’d drafted for giveagirlapen over there…
Check it out!

I think I might do a serial novel…possibly.
We’ll see what happens.
I keep giving myself so much to do….
—thankfully, pressure and time restrictions are great motivators for me!
If you do head over there, please answer my poll on the left.
Thanks, ya’ll!!

xx

Funny – I have spent the last few days considering transferring my blog over to blogpsot. I could never manage two.

I don’t know if I can, but I’m trying it.
If it’s tooooo difficult, I’ll just delete the blogspot. I personally like wordpress better. It’s more user-friendly, imo.

I work on ifyougiveagirl, but I only post Fridays there so all I have to do is check email and comment on the other days. Not too difficult.

      We’ll see how it all works… :P

Why 3 blogs? Are they for different reasons or audiences? And I’d love to know any other differences you notice between wordpress and blogspot.

well, i started this blog when i started my book, although i didn’t start using it until a couple weeks ago.
i spent all my time on authonomy, but that just got too ridiculous!

i commented a lot on giveagirlapen.com and was recently asked to be one of the girls. so that’s why i do that one =)
it’s amazing to be a part of a group project that reaches a larger and more diverse audience.

the reason i started the blogspot is strictly for my platform.
that’s it. i want as many results as possible when my name and book are googled. agents like that kind of thing.
plus, it equals more readers—always a bonus since that’s truly all i ask for. yeah, i’d love to get published, but the one thing about authonomy is that i had over 100 people read the first 15k of my book (or at least the first chapter or so..)! it’s an amazing feeling. and the feedback was pretty good, too—some phenomenal.
but just knowing that someone spent their precious time reading the words that i wrote…..nothing compares..

once i get into blogspot a little more (i only have one reader as of yet), i’ll let you know what the differences are =)

Been there, done that. Actually had a writers blog in addition to my original with author quotes, my own ideas, etc.etc. Deleted it. Too hard to keep up two. Then I opened a yoga blog…same thing, took too much time. Opened a blogspot too. deleted that one. Just keep my account there to comment on my favorite blogger people. Stretching too much in yoga is good, but stretching your writing in all different directions waters progress down. My opinion, mind you.

Also, for Cynthia, I like WordPress much more…it’s so easy too tool around with the tags. I can’t seem to get anywhere easily on Blogger. (Perhaps I’m missing something there). Also wordpress has a greater assortment of themes to choose from, for free. This dashboard is easy to handle too and very quick since their new system came into effect a few months ago.

Anyway, everyone’s wordcounts from the other day got this wit going and I’ve almost completed my new short story…wrote 5 pages today!! Peace to all…Jenn

Nice!! yay for the word count =)
I’ve actually cut mine down—in half. My original plan from months ago was to be done by august so I figure I can write 50k in 2 mos instead of 1. Much less pressure.
I find that blogging and twittering gives me the motivation to work more. Sometimes I’ll start writing as a blog post and copy it over into my doc.
      Weird mindset thing… idk..

Thanks, Jennifer R, WordPress was recommended to me, and I never even looked at Blogger. So I’m glad I made the right decision. I have been very happy with it except for the fact that I can’t use a Flickr badge (the little box where the photos change in and out-I think that’s what you call it), which I very much want on my site.

hmmm. ok. it seemed that blogpost had much funner widgets. That’s my whole motivation. I chose wordpress to begin with began everyone told me it is easiest to use. I’ve been reading on it, and it seems that a lot of people are unhappy with it, loosing posts, pages etc, while wordpress does not get that kind of feedback. I’ll keep my ears (eyes) open for what you have to say Eden in the future about blogpsot.
