I’ve recently been dealing with a horrifying case of first time writer’s block.
Seriously…it’s Never happened to me before.
I tried anything and everything.
Nothing worked. It was truly horrible. A sad time in my life.
Until I gave up…
One day last week, I opened a journal that I use for notes on book & story ideas. I thought that maybe I might come across something useful, but I honestly wasn’t the least bit hopeful.
It was just a last-ditch effort. I had truly given up at that point.
And then…..
I came across a miracle!
The note I’d written myself months ago.
The key that stood between me and the next chapter of Avalon.
It tore down that brick wall. I mean, it is now smashed to pieces. Here’s hoping that nothing will be able to rebuild it for some time.
But, after not writing for a while, except for short, short stories and blogs and such, I’m still not quite back into the swing of things. It’s slow-going….
It does seem that the flow of my writing (not to mention, my life) is back, though!! YAY!!!
I’ve attempted to delve into the chapter and I’ve begun a bit of editing and adding content. Always a good thing. Content I would not have had if it wasn’t for taking notes on any and all ideas I have…
I am also reading more–something I was unable to do while not writing. I wouldn’t allow myself the pleasure of reading if I couldn’t even write. Just felt I didn’t deserve that luxury at the time…
I’m beyond thrilled and I had to share.
With my one reader–if I even have that many
Hey, it’s all right–this blog is for me to record my journey and see what works and what doesn’t.
And—-obviously, notes work.
Hence, my love for journals and all other bound pieces of paper
